Have a successful career while remaining completely human!
Contradiction or balancing act? One of the biggest challenges for modern managers is dealing with the often paradoxical demands of their employees and those of the organization. Employees want to be seen as people, valued and supported. The organization must meet goals and deadlines. How do these things fit together? How do you lead authentically in such situations? How do you remain human and pay attention to your own needs?
My Values
and what you can expect from me as a coach
Today's coaching methods are tried and tested and largely standardized, so that when a coach changes, continuity is created and a minimum standard of quality is guaranteed
Individual or team coaching, on-site with the client, in my office or online. Whatever best suits the situation. A coaching session lasts 60 to 90 minutes. The number of sessions depends on the topic, 3-6 sessions are usual. The client sets the pace.
We want to professionalize the form of coaching and put it at the service of good values. We also aim to make this world a little fairer and to help those in the world who are really poor and starving. This is not about charity, but about helping people to help themselves. The DFC is therefore not just about the facet of business or success coaching, but also about other types of coaching. (https://www.fachverband-coaching.de/home)
Career success and remaining human - contradiction?
Employees want to be seen as people, valued and supported. The organization has to meet goals and deadlines. How does that fit together? Despite the stormy weather in my area of responsibility, how can I create a microclimate in which my employees feel psychologically safe? And how do I remain human myself and pay adequate attention to my needs?
Avoid the "Peter Principle"!
This says: "everyone is promoted to their level of incompetence". Not every promotion opportunity takes me further and makes me happy. It's not always just higher, further, faster. Sometimes it's better to be one of the top players in the second division than to be at the bottom of the league. But how do I know that? Do I have the necessary skills and soft skills for the new job? Does it fit my values? And how does it affect my private life?
The same pattern over and over again. When certain people do certain things, I react in an unwanted way and later get annoyed about it. I stand in my own way and thereby harm my professional or personal development. But how can I recognize which patterns are playing out in me? And can I interrupt them, even change them?
It's not that far yet, but the first signs like disengagement and lack of motivation are already there. I know that if I carry on like this, it will affect me too. I know that I have to change something, but I don't know what. Do I need to learn to set boundaries, say no or "let things slide"? Or do I need to strengthen my inner resilience? And if so, how?
